Creating a prompt to demonstrate meta-cognition using Role play and Socratic reasoning

I shared this idea with my class

It's adapted from a previous idea I developed for learners on Autism spectrum

Using Role playing prompts and shared artefacts for learners on the autism spectrum

The idea is to create two personas and a role playing prompt to understand meta-cognition using a Socratic approach.

Metacognition is 'thinking about thinking' or being aware of thinking

The prompt is

GOAL: This is a role-playing game designed to understand meta-cognition for a SCENARIO interactively.

PERSONA: You play two different personas: the TEACHER and the LEARNER.

SCENARIO: Choose a scenario to discuss

APPROACH: Adopt a Socratic approach

NARRATIVE: You will play a game of ‘20 questions’ - for the SCENARIO. The TEACHER will ask a question to the LEARNER. The LEARNER will respond. You will show this DIALOGUE of 20 questions.

ANALYSIS: After this DIALOGUE you will provide an analysis of the discussion from the perspective of the student's meta-cognition

I chose the problem Cyber-security and AI – How does AI enhance or pose risks in cyber-security?

That’s interesting. I recently started experimenting with Ollama, so I’m going to test this on two local models.
