I can relate. I got into debt the first funnels course I did but then broke through to 6 figures in 10 months when I found the formula I now teach in Purpose-Aligned Funnels.

I first learned how to put a marketing funnel together that turned leads into customers via a big pitch fest event for entrepreneurs I attended in Brisbane, Australia over 8 years ago. I upgraded to the paid offer, for $10,000 even though I couldn’t really afford it at the time. But I knew I needed to do this to up my game online if I wanted my impact and income to grow.
The problem was that the course took 3 months to complete, along with the funnel. It sucked up so much of my time, that I wasn’t able to earn as much money, as usual, do because there was no time left for anything else other than funnel creation. I didn’t want to get left behind in the course so most of my focus went into the creation.
The email copy templates we used were so salesy and pushy, that I felt really uncomfortable doing them. But my coach at the time said just do it, it works.
I implemented everything I was taught, including their lead generation suggestions, and I made 3 sales totaling $3,000 for a 6-week group program called Mission Blueprint. I then had to create the presentations for each of the group calls and deliver the program. More time was taken up where money was only trickling in from other activities in my business.
3 months plus 6 weeks, and $3,000 in sales I made a whopping $7,000 in debt. Not to mention the loss of income during all that time I was putting the whole thing together.
The results were disappointing. All that time I put in didn’t return on my investment. I knew funnels worked to create big online sales, the course I did fell short in lead generation and promotion planning. So I didn’t have a proper promotion plan or fill out lead generation system to get consistent sales.
I knew there were gaps in my knowledge and another course was not going to fill the gap. I needed a business mentor who could handhold me through the missing pieces. So I found the right mentor who was the sales and marketing genius behind Loral Langemire’s success. It was a $20,000 investment that took me $100,000 then $250,000 then to $1,000,000 in online sales. I thought “now that’s a great R.O.I (Return on investment)”.?
Making that kind of financial commitment made my brain boil over. As I didn’t have all the funds to pay for it and really had to hustle to drum up the funds. In our first discovery call, where I was leaving money on the table in my business. I implemented her suggestions and within two weeks I had the funds for the mentoring.

I also was shown a great format to market my business that blended really well with my own purpose-driven content marketing strategies. So instead of feeling like I was marketing myself, I felt like I was sharing my wisdom and serving to make an impact.
Then I simply make the invitation that I’m really excited about. Because I’m proud of the offers I give. I know their value far exceeds what you invest… I don’t put offers together unless I’m excited about or I would not buy them myself
