Creating personalized learning at scale

Nearly 60% of people globally say they wish they knew who to reach out to for career advice. But most people don't have access to a career coach to help them grow, and many of the tools today were designed to give a one-size-fits all answer. We believe that learning comes from different perspectives and points of views - and that's what we're doing at LinkedIn Learning.??

Today we're scaling access to the expertise of our LinkedIn Learning instructors by piloting expert advice, powered by AI, to help provide personalized guidance to each learner.?

We're also introducing a new royalty model that pays instructors when learners access their expertise using our new AI-powered coaching experience.

While human professional coaches are invaluable, these tools will help scale personalized learning to a new level.??

Creating more interactive learning with expert advice, powered by AI?

Imagine finding an expert in their field and having a one-to-one conversation on topics they specialize in like negotiation or business strategy. With AI, learners will be able to interact with select instructors and instantly receive personalized, actionable advice. They can ask questions like 'how do I negotiate my salary' or 'how do I build a growth mindset?'. Each response will be personalized to them based on their title, career goals, and the skills they follow on LinkedIn Learning.?

We work closely with each instructor to ensure the AI-powered responses are authentic to their teaching style and aligned to their expertise to ensure a high-quality experience.

We're beginning to pilot this feature today with experts like Alicia Reece , Anil Gupta, Dr Gemma Leigh Roberts , and Lisa Gates who are experts in the fields of relationship management, global business strategy, well-being and career development.

Boosting skill building with real-time advice and insights?

In October we launched AI-powered coaching that provides real-time advice and attributed content recommendations pulled from our content library of more than ten thousand English courses. So far over three-fourths (76%) of learners have said it has helped them to build skills. Soon it will be available in English to everyone who has LinkedIn Premium.?

To help organizations build their teams' skills even faster, we're bringing AI-powered coaching throughout our course experience. Now, learners can ask for summaries of content or clarifying questions and get real time insights and takeaways directly on our course pages. For example, learners can ask “Can you simplify this?” or “How does this apply to me?” and they will get an answer right away.?

As we enter a new world of generative AI technologies, we're beginning to roll out royalties when learners access our instructors' expertise using AI-powered coaching within a course. For example, if a learner uses this feature to ask a question within the course, the instructor will be paid for it.?
