Creating Motivation In Times of Change - My 2020 Covid Experience Statement

"Given the choice between changing and proving there's no need to do so, almost everybody will get busy on the proof." ~ John Kenneth Galbraith, Economist

As I continue to ponder this whole 2020 PANDEMIC, and its extraordinary experience I have been living, I "bottled" my thoughts up into my own COVID-19 EXPERIENCE STATEMENT to give myself the ongoing motivation I need to push through the noise and continue to create ongoing clarity, value, growth and opportunity - for myself and others.

Fear and anxiety are to experience, relationships, success and life what labor pains are to childbirth...(It is all relative...)

ALL OF IT NECESSARY, UNPLEASANT, PAIN-FULL, FAR FROM PERFECT, A LEARNING AND ALIGNMENT PROCESS - AND VERY RESOURCE-FULL, yet DEEPLY PART OF THE PROCESS TO REALIZE, LET GO, WORK AT IT, RE-ALIGN, CHANGE AND BE BETTER...

RECOGNIZE IT, EMBRACE IT, PUSH THROUGH IT, BE VULNERABLE, MAXIMIZE IT, ENGAGE and EXPERIENCE IT...

Continuously, Authentically, Intentionally -

LEARN,

CREATE, (VALUE, GROWTH, and OPPORTUNITY)

LIVE, (A LIFE WORTH LIVING)

LOVE, (ITS AN INTERNAL, NOT EXTERNAL THING)

Life really is good, abundance (as defined by aligning values and goals) is mine - it is all a matter of mindset and gratitude...I remain open to it all; integrating into the things I think, say and do; and share it with successful people around the globe!

THE LAW OF LIFE (ITS A DAILY THING, and I LOVE IT)

(Lori Harris, 2020 Covid Experience Statement)

What would your COVID-19 Experience Statement say?

All of us are experiencing this 2020 a bit differently, uniquely our own experience, yet familiar and similar to all. We have had ups and downs; losses, growth, innovation and extraordinary experience.

Stop to consider and take inventory on your own fears and anxieties, and how our behaviors are impacting our lives, careers, work, teams, communities.

Food for thought: We [humans] cling fiercely to lack and limitation rather than endure the anxiety intrinsic to real, positive change. We will justify and behave out of fear and anxiety - it may look like one or more of these common behaviors that keep us stuck: resistance, procrastinate, forgetting, blaming, shaming, becoming too busy, making excuses, losing interest, creating distractions, or scaring ourselves with worse-case-scenarios. We tend to push away the natural ability to be empathetic, listen intuitively, to trust ourselves deeply and confidently - even when there is, in current state, no logical basis, to listen actively and take steps towards abundance. Which of these behaviors are you struggling with? Which are holding you back from success and positive, lasting experiences or relationships?
