Creating Memories & Cultivating Relationships

Creating Memories & Cultivating Relationships

Hello pal

Happy Wednesday! How are you?

Well I took a wee unplanned & impromptu holiday from my weekly love letters to you. The reason being I was fully living life and work… I actually have thoroughly enjoyed the wee break from writing and equally I am keen to be back too :)

Can you believe its been four weeks? Well, what has been happening? What have I learnt that may help you in your health, wellbeing, life or work??

LOTS…. :) Let me share some thoughts…?

Wonderful Wimbledon. Bucket List Moment.?

My Aunt called me up a few months ago as I was walking into the gym on a random Monday morning and said “Do you want to go to Wimbledon with me I have a ticket for you?”

I started screaming, smiling ear to ear and said 10000% YES! You see this has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. I am not even sure why but it just felt like one of those things you need to experience at least once in your life!?

I can say hand on heart it was one of the best most joyous experiences I have ever had. From the second I arrived, even though it was busy I felt instantly relaxed. The energy in Wimbledon is simply wonderful and I believe it comes down to the precision organisation of a world class sporting event and also the team.?

Every single team member from the people welcoming you at the door to the team member serving you strawberries and cream were exceptional. They were naturally friendly, super calm, extremely attentive, generous with their time and immaculate in their appearance. It instantly felt like I had walked into one giant family gathering full of love, respect and joy. And that was even before I saw any tennis!?

And when I did get to see the tennis, well.. what can I say… spectacular. Tennis is one of those sports that can be so exhilarating yet so frustrating for both the players and the observer.?

Lastly, as a Scot it was incredible to see Andy Murray at his last Wimbledon. Emotional but wow what a career and legacy he has created at only 37! Did you know that Murray won 82% (61 out of 74) of his matches at Wimbledon? That is a whole other level of commitment to his craft, his mindset and the will to win (BTW you must watch the “Will to Win” Murray documentary on the BBC, so good!) ? ??

So what to take from the experience…?

Number 1 - Do you have a bucket list? What is one thing on your bucket list that you can make happen this year ? Or can you share a bucket list experience with someone special in your life? My Aunt and I now have the most beautiful memories from our day together, that were so unique, fun and full of joy!?

Number 2 - If you want to learn how to hone your craft, cultivate commitment, build your belief & confidence and know what consistency really looks like to succeed in anything then looks at these tennis players. You may not be an athlete and that is OK but pay attention to these players words, their stories, their setbacks, how they overcome them and why they do what they do. Every single one of them experienced so many struggles and setbacks but they CHOOSE to get back up again and show up. They focus on the process, the consistency, the commitment, they have a vision and they back themselves despite the setbacks and struggles.??

Number 3 ?- If you ever wanted to learn how to run an exceptional event and build an exceptional team then look at Wimbledon. I now know why it is so ICONIC… because they know how to create a WORLD CLASS and CLASSY event where everyone gets to have a unique experience that suits all budgets. and more importantly everyone gets to experience love, respect & joy! :)?

London - A melting pot for inspiration & innovation?

People often ask me how I plan my trips and I always explain how I make sure I combine a mix of work & play with a hint of inspiration & adventure. Wimbledon was my main reason for my trip but I decided to stay in London for another week to do a bit of work, to explore new things and to catch up with pals. Some of it was planned and some of it was unplanned. I always love leaving space for serendipity and the universe to do its thing! :)?

One of the planned things was running a few B corp education sessions and the way I make that happen is through relationships and collaborations. I truly believe relationships are one of the most important things to spend time building and cultivating for your own wellbeing and also the wellbeing of your business. For example, last year when I was in London I met an awesome women at a business networking event and we kept in touch.

So, when I was planning my trip I mentioned to her that I wanted to run a few B Corp education sessions for my business Definitii and we ended up collaborating together to host a session at this brilliant new community & co-working space called FABRIK and the Santander Work Cafe that I didn't even know existed (side note you can work from here for free and also book a room for workshops for 2 hours also free of charge!). The results ? A bunch of incredible connections and now I am running a B Corp Online program with a group of start ups starting in August!?

And why do I think London is inspiring? I know not everyone has this view but I always find when I wonder the streets of London and just observe I end up getting so inspired. From new businesses, to up and coming areas, to theater shows, to the gardens and the variety of art, food & culture. I have never been in a city that offers so much diversity, yet is so chaotic in so many ways. It really is a melting pot and for me to be in it for a short period of time is cool!

I have so much more to share from this trip but there is simply too much for one newsletter so will save some cool things to share with you over the next few weeks :)

Become a B Corp Workshop in Edinburgh

So delighted to be collaborating with Lee Fitzpatrick from Zebra Growth - a Regenerative Marketing agency based in Edinburgh. We will hear from Lee and their journey to become a B Corp AND I will be helping businesses get started in regards to the B Corp process. It will be an inspiring yet practical event.?

I am so excited to be bringing this documentary to Scotland for the first time. Its really simple for me - I want to create more spaces where Indigenous voices are heard. ??

7 Day Fresh Start

I love improving my health and well-being wherever I can and intermittent fasting is something that I have been curious about for a few years so I was so excited when Arbonne launched the new “7 day fresh start” products and program.

I am ready to learn & educate myself and learn everything about fasting and the benefits as well as things to watch out for.

Intermittent fasting (which means fasting for a period of time rather than all day) has been shown to have benefits across so many areas including:

* Blood Sugar Regulation

* Detoxification supporting your liver and gut

* Reducing inflammation in your gut and tissues

* Recovery

* Gut Microbiome balance

When you buy the 7 day fresh start products you will get access to in-depth educational videos, additional guidance for these 7 days from a naturopathic nutritionist and a what's app support group. The intention is to help you give your body that refresh, reset and renewal!

The products include:

  • A Morning Matcha with MCT oil (can't wait to try this everyone is saying it's such a beautiful matcha!)
  • A Golden Renewal protein with anti-inflammatory properties (been told it tastes like Vanilla chai - this is my fav!!!)
  • A 2B FU strain pro-biotic supplement with a unique combo of ingredients secret to Arbonne that also support gut lining!

?I am honestly so grateful for the doctors, scientists, & nutritionists that have co created these products and program for us.

After being away in London for 10 days - I feel like this is the best time to have a bit of a reset and finally learn how to fast properly & safely.

If you are keen to give it a go with me - let me know - there is an educational webinar explaining everything you need to know (I was on a 30 mins webinar last night and have learnt so much already!) or if you want to just go for it together - I can give you a discount code to get the 7 day fresh start products!

Ps I've also just purchased the highly recommended book “fast like a girl” by Dr Mindy Pelz so perhaps grab a copy of that too to learn more!?

Until next time! :)

I've got your back,
