It is widely recognized that employees are the face of a company. When employees consistently demonstrate exceptional performance and contribute to the company's growth, whether through their business accomplishments or by attracting potential talent to join, it indicates that the company is on the right track.?
This phenomenon is commonly referred to as employee branding. Essentially, employee branding is a strategic initiative undertaken by a company to position its employees as brand ambassadors. They serve as visual representations of the company's work culture and values.?
?
Defining employee brand further?
The term "employee branding" aligns with its predecessor, known as "employer branding." Essentially, both concepts aim to enhance the reputation of the company or employer within their workforce by showcasing how employees perceive their employer.?
When we observe unique workplaces with a range of benefits, such as sports facilities, flexible work hours, vibrant and creative spaces like those implemented by Google, and more, these are elements of employer branding. They are designed for employees to utilize and derive value from, contributing to the overall perception of the employer.?
On the other hand, when employees openly express their satisfaction with what the company offers them, including benefits, vision and mission alignment, and positive work culture, and even go as far as sharing it on social media or when the company itself runs accounts specifically dedicated to promoting their employees' work routines and experiences within the office, this is referred to as employee branding. It signifies the alignment between employees' positive experiences and the promotion of the company's brand.?
