This week, I talk about the skill of generating leads from your LinkedIn content, that took you time and effort to create. I will also consider establishing trusted relationships and building up your brand.
Converting relationships into worthwhile leads and eventually business is an important goal for many people. I am considering two techniques this week: creating polls and encouraging user-generated content.
Creating LinkedIn’s poll
LinkedIn's polls are a great way to interact with your audience.
Your audience, get insightful data about them, and a great way to target leads. Here are some ideas about how to use LinkedIn Polls to your benefit effectively:
Design Poll Questions: Discuss the challenges and concerns of your audience. Here is an example from my account.
I work for freelancer coaches and dyslexic business owners I know from my experiences that many can have challenges creating content here on LinkedIn, so I created a poll to ask them what were their biggest challenges.
The Poll I created
What challenges have you in creating content in general to use on LinkedIn?
What challenges have you creating content for LinkedIn?
You can see how people vote, and who they are, and many of them could be a lead for your business. Encourage your poll respondents in the comments section.
With the post, you can include further information, so individuals can learn more about you and your business.
After the Poll, thank your responders and open a conversation, and if relevant/appropriate explain how you can help them solve their challenge/ problem.
Promote Testimonials and User-Generated content.
Testimonials and user-generated content (UGC) are a great way to establish credibility and trust for you (to help create leads).
Testimonials: Ask happy customers of yours for recommendations. Remember, your clients are busy, so help them by outlining the qualities, services, or goods you are searching for recommendations for.
Your testimonials can be used in a variety of content; for example, you might include them in an article on LinkedIn. For example, make your word testimonial into a graphic or video.
Senior decision-makers use LinkedIn to seek recommendations from trusted peers and verify the expertise of the professionals with whom they do business.

49% of social buyers researched vendors by looking at their LinkedIn profiles. Ensure your profile is accurate, information-rich, and service-oriented. Approach other members with a “warm” introduction.

Prospective customers like to view the most recent testimonials, like when they visit a restaurant or hotel. If the testimonials are too out of date, individuals could ask themselves why?
Keep those testimonials up to date as much as possible.
User-generated content campaigns: Make user-generated content (UGC) campaigns by asking your customers to share success stories or share their experience of what it was like being your customer.
Acknowledge: Clearly express thanks and appreciation for user-generated content and testimonials. This encourages your consumers to support and engage with you more.

1 年What a great article, very informative! Polls are so useful if we want to connect with our readers. It helps us create the content they want and find out about their needs. You've done a fantastic job, Rosemary! I need to remember to introduce polls in my business - and to not be shy to ask for testimonials.

1 年I really like the idea of using LinkedIn polls as a way of testing out waters and get to know potential leads, amazing tactic Rosemary. I can see it more developed down the line with the inclusion of UGC that you mentioned. A wholesome article that covers all the best points a freelancer should take into account when trying to reach to people and build reach for his or her services (and advertising.) Thank you for sharing it Rosemary, your articles always turn out into amazing readings ??
