Creating Depth in Your Team

Creating Depth in Your Team

Good morning,

My most requested workshop is around the topic of psychological safety.

To be honest, I never thought I'd speak about it this much nor did I think I'd resonate with the topic as much.

But here we are.

I fully believe that your job as leader is to create and foster a space of psychological safety.

This means that your team can:

  • be vulnerable
  • raise concerns
  • admit mistakes

Beyond the obvious of why this is important, let me tell you that teams that get this right create an incredible sense of belonging in the team.

It feels great to be part of a team where we can talk about the things that matter, the things that are uncomfortable, and the things that worry us without the fear of judgment.

If you want depth and substance in your team, then building belonging and psychological safety should be at the top of your team development list.

Erik

Whenever you are ready, here's how I can help:

For a few select teams, I play the role of Team Adviser, meeting with them monthly to have conversations about growth, collaboration, and performance, all in service of continuous learning and development of the team.

If you believe in the power of small tweaks to create big changes, value the perspective of specialists, and want to commit to the bettering of your team, then we might be a good fit.

I believe that when psychological safety is fully embraced within departments and organizations, it can significantly drive revenue growth. When team members feel empowered to share ideas, take action, or think differently without fear of judgment or being told, ‘we have people in the organization thinking about that,’ they contribute more creatively and effectively.
