The Beauty of the “Unknown”
Walking into the unknown...

The Beauty of the “Unknown”

As we wrap up 2023, and enter into 2024…

It makes you think about the future.?

A future that has become increasingly harder to predict because of…

  • AI advancing at a rapid pace.
  • The changing world order.
  • Shifts in the idea of work.?

Everything is up in the air.?

And when you can’t predict what’s going to happen?

You start to fear the unknown.

But...

What if the “unknown” is actually what makes life worth living?

What if we saw it as beautiful instead?

The great Alan Watts said it best…

Alan Watts
"Let's suppose that you were able every night to dream any dream that you wanted to dream...

And that you could, for example, have the power within one night to dream 75 years of time. Or any length of time you wanted to have.

And you would, naturally as you began on this adventure of dreams, you would fulfil all your wishes. You would have every kind of pleasure you could conceive.

And after several nights of 75 years of total pleasure each, you would say "Well, that was pretty great."

But now let's have a surprise.
Dreams

Let's have a dream which isn't under control.

Where something is gonna happen to me that I don't know what it's going to be.

And you would dig that and come out of that and say "Wow, that was a close shave, wasn't it?"

And then you would get more and more adventurous, and you would make further and further out gambles as to what you would dream.

And finally, you would dream… Where you are now.

You would dream the dream of living the life that you are actually living today."

So…

Having no control over what’s going to happen is a good thing.?

It’s designed that way.

Living a life where you…

  • Know the outcome of every decision you make.
  • Know the pleasure or pain before you do it.
  • Know everything there is to know.?

Will be so boring, you’ll want to stop living.?

The bottom line is this…?

  • Embrace uncertainty.
  • Face your fears.
  • Keep going.?

Life is a silly game we all play.

So it’s best if you enjoy it.

And…

Regardless of all the uncertainty in the world.

There is?one thing you and I know for sure.

Next year, freedom through solopreneurship will reign supreme.?

And LinkedIn will be the platform where everyone comes together.

Why?

Because…

LinkedIn is the new virtual office.?

And everyone wants to be free.

Especially with…

  • The mass layoffs.
  • The mass WFH movement.
  • The mass digital nomad revolution.

There will be millions looking to take control of their lives in this new digital era.?

And millions getting paid handsomely for doing what they love.

Who wouldn’t want that…?

The good news?

You can join this revolution right now.

"The future seems more unpredictable than ever before." So true, but I think that is what makes the future beautiful because predictable things don't give you the thrill of unexpected surprises and the opportunity for growth and new experiences. William Choi

William Choi I like the title. Actually I like it lo Assuming the Presidency at the depth of the Great Depression, Franklin D. Roosevelt helped the American people regain faith in themselves. He brought hope as he promised prompt, vigorous action, and asserted in his Inaugural Address, “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”

This reminds me of a quote from the "The Encyclopedia Americana"?which stated: Fear is a mental poison and the most potent of all antagonists to health and medicine.” The impact of fear on the mind can have profound and potentially severe consequences. For some individuals, the repercussions of fear can be more debilitating than an illness.

Think about it for a moment- If everything was revealed to you, what would've happened? Your stress about harsh storms would overtake your excitement of happy springs. All your thoughts would be about planning for the future and stressing crazy about it. SO, there's a purpose, a reason behind not revealing the future to you. It is God's affection towards you. He wants you to live an adventurous life (in the present) P.S: Loved the newsletter, William. It's got some deep stuff in it.
