I spoke to one of my favourite travel clients yesterday. Instead of making people redundant they’ve got all hands on deck creating blog, website and social content. From sales people to customer service - they’re all involved.
Obviously, this kind of puts us out of work. But I think it’s a great idea!
The main priority is keeping as many businesses going as possible, and keeping people in their jobs.
Tips for creating content on a budget:
1 - Get all hands on deck. I wonder where I got this idea from?
Everyone in your business will bring something different to the table and have a different touchpoint with customers. Now’s a great time to use this.
2 - Celebrate your team
We’re all nosey. Take customers behind the scenes and celebrate the people who are working hard and on the front line in your business.
3 - Talk to your suppliers
At Proof Content we can work out longer payment terms, and help in any way we can. Our priority is to keep our writers writing, so we’ll commit to some projects at cost price too.
4 - Use your platform for good
If you have a large social following, now’s the time to use it. You can give it to good causes like food banks, local businesses and charities for a few hours.
5 - Repurpose content
Create content you can use across different channels, or as a series of short posts. Or find the old content that performed well and repost it.
