Creating connections to empower agriculture ??

As my internship at CHS Inc. comes to an end, I want to reflect on the incredible journey, it's been a summer filled with learning, challenges, and significant growth. I am privileged to work as a Business System Analyst Intern on the Digital Service Management Platform (DSMP) team. I'm very excited to share my experience. ??

From the very first day, I was welcomed into the team, and I feel fortunate to be surrounded by wonderful, supportive, and experienced individuals. My initial days were a whirlwind of new information, meeting stakeholders, and getting acquainted with the projects. Over the past few months, I have delved into various projects, learned new technologies, and received invaluable guidance from senior leaders, managers, mentors, and colleagues. The cooperative atmosphere made my internship experience enriching and enjoyable.

The projects and technologies that shaped my journey

One of my primary projects involved gathering requirements from stakeholders to design and configure a Virtual Agent bot on ServiceNow. This wasn't about developing a chatbot; the goal is to create a helpful user experience. I also collaborated on a group project involving enhancing the OT Security SharePoint site and uploaded and organized OT device photos. By working on these projects, I gained hands-on experience with technologies like ServiceNow, Power BI, Azure DevOps, Copilot Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Automate. In addition to technical skills, I also improved upon my soft skills.

Lessons and growth

The CHS internship program offered a variety of insightful and enjoyable events. "CHS in a Half Day" and "CHS 101" enhanced my understanding of various CHS business operations and delivery of services to support CHS customers. During the "ELT 1:1 session" and "IT Meet and Greet with executive/senior leaders", I gained valuable insights. They shared their experiences and emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities, networking, being helpful, committed, creative, and collaborative, making decisions, working hard, finding your path, and staying focused.

I am sincerely grateful to everyone at CHS who has supported, encouraged, and guided me throughout this journey. Every person has played an essential part in my journey.

Looking ahead

The opportunity of interning at CHS Inc. has been a pivotal step in my career, and I am excited about the future possibilities it has opened. As I look ahead, I am filled with accomplishment and anticipation. Coming from a farming background, allowed me to contribute to agriculture and make my family, especially my father, proud. This internship has solidified my passion for IT ?? and agriculture ??.
