Creating Bendy Bedlum Baseboard In M2 2016

When I first saw this fantastic picture, I thought how on earth you could accurately quantify those coved baseboards?.(Skirting boards).

MeasureSquare have been kind enough to let me play with their new updated commercial flooring software dubbed M2 2017

It is really a breeze the greater flexibility of their divide tool helps you split up an area even a wall.

So this is our result and once drawn the program automatically calculates how much material you will need.

So we start with our room and just draw out a rectangle (we are already scaled, and we are being quantified as we draw).

Now instead of using our border tool we are going to randomly divide the floor and create borders with the divide tool.

We don't have to be too picky because we are going to warp these guys up good.

Make sure you stop and start the divide tool to give yourself lots of handles to play with because we are going to pull and push to get those crazy lines.

Reach for the "set arc" tool and push and pull till you get something like this

If you have re - estimate set to automatic the program will start putting in seams for you these can be dragged and dropped to your own taste.

The weld has been associated with the sheet goods as an addon and is automatically calculated as the seams are drawn.

That's it do the same thing with one wall then duplicate on all four walls with a single command - add a trim for authenticity and some paint on the bare upper wall.

Thanx Polyflor for the Inspiration.

What would be great would be the addition of a grid with reference points that show on both the floorplan and cut sheet so the shape can be plotted onto the material that is to be cut to assist the installer.

Happy holidays to both of you Christopher Capobianco Robert Tipping ???? - hope you had a good Christmas. Glad you like this installation, this is actually in the hospital where I was born many years ago and is only about a mile from Polyflor's sales and distribution centre. It's certainly made an eye catching impact in the Children's Ward.

This has been a favorite Polyflor photo of mine for a long time. Kudos to the installer for the most unique flash cove sheet flooring installation I've ever seen. Sure would like to get back to England and see it in person!!
