Creating balance ! Merging your personal & business life!

How many times in our lives we noticed that we needed to create more balance between our personal and business life?

What made us discover that?

Maybe when anxiety was around, maybe when you couldn`t sleep very well or even when things went wrong with your relationships, in family or at work.

Communication failed and you got lost among your daily tasks, lack of concentration, no focus.

This is the time when we figure out that we need to create some new actions to bring this balance back and make it better than ever.

What exactly can we do to achieve this goal?

How can we do it?

It seems almost impossible to balance everything!

So many things to do, clients on demand, a lot of work, it never ends.

Texting, emails, responding to partners and customers, family dinners, attention to your loved ones, parties and so on.

Here we go:

A few new steps can take us there.

1 - Respect you time off

It can be at any time, going to the movies in the afternoon when you have a flexible schedule. Just create that opportunity for yourself.

2 - Learn to say NO

We can't just do everything or please everyone.

We just have 24 hours a day.

How can you prioritize what will really make a difference and help us achieve our goals?

3 - Create rules for yourself

What is that action that you can cross out from your to do list?

That late call that you can just reschedule.

Make a list of unacceptable personal actions that contradict your boundaries.

4 - Be consistent

What is the best way to create a habit that will keep you in that track?

Here we are:

You can build a time chart and work on your hidden time wasters.

You can measure how much time you spend in each of your daily activities and see how you can make changes to help you improve that balance and live the life you deserve.

1 - Make a list of the days of the week including Saturdays and Sundays.

2 - List all your activities.

Sleep - self care, morning, night time, other, going out, massage etc...

Work - Commute, travel, time at work, networking, email while at work, optional breakout, preparation for something, thinking about, other work related..

Necessities - cooking and preparing food, eating, grocery, shopping, errands, paying bills, chores, laundry, cleaning, repairs etc....

Fun & leisure - friends, movies, TV , reading, exercise, hobbies, meditating, spiritual growth, quality time with partner, personal development, life planning, social media, non specific internet use, personal email, phone calls, texting, messaging.

Other - child care, volunteering, learning, studying, procrastinating, feeling tired, shopping clothes, gifts resting.

Record how you spend your time each day, then total each day you have completed.

Does it add up to more or less than 24 hours?

What do you notice?

Where could you spend less time? More time?
