#CREATEADVENT 24 - Eredivisie

A little late, but still exciting, we present you the last part of our Advent calendar! For us at CREATEFOOTBALL, the dutch Eredivisie is probably the most exciting league outside of the top 5 when it comes to talented youngsters - but more experienced players like Tadic or Haller are also fantastic to watch. As a Team to Watch, we could in fact name all three promoted side - all three, Go Ahead Eagles, NEC Njimegen and Cambuur-Leeuwarden are placed between 8-11, at least 8 points off the relegation zone! We would particularly like to refer to Vitesse Arnheim, fourth in the table, who use a lot of high pressure in their compact 5-3-2 system - the two wing backs Wittek and Dasa with a show huge offensive qualities, while especially the later swings in many super accurate crosses. In the attacking center Bruges lively loanee Openda amazes with already 10 league goals!

Both Player to Watch are acutally U23 players today - this shows the youth craze of almost all teams that give various talents the chance to show their skills in pro football. Cody Gakpo emerged from the youth academy of PSV Eindhoven and is currently able to clearly surpass his offensive output of previous seasons: the 22-year-old already has 6 goals and 8 assists to his name after only 13 games and is one of the most variable attackers in the league thanks to his style of play. With his height of 1.89m, he penetrates the box from the left wing quickly and physically (9+ dribbles / 90 min.) and often shoots on goal - but also sets up more than 3 shots / 90 min.!

Joey Veerman wanted to leave SC Heerenveen in the summer, which failed as no club could fulfill the financial request of the club. Now Glasgow Rangers and Feyenoord are said to be interested in the technically equipped box-to-box midfielder - the 23-year-old shows his great talent thanks to his large number of actions, the clever defending and the strong offensive output. He is particularly effective in the last third, where his vision and passing skills (most through balls in the league; 2.2 shot assists / 90 min.) do him a favour. He creates the fourth most chances in the league.
