In 2019 I had the opportunity to meet with the team at the Uber headquarters in San Fancisco and it was a pleasure. Their powerful Uber for Business products help their automotive dealership and OEM partners create better customer experiences every single day. Lastly the Uber for business solutions are flexible, scaleable, easy to use and more affordable that the transportation options most dealerships are currently using.

Each dealership service shuttle costs around $10,000 per month to operate and in most cases, other transportation options are required to meet the needs of the dealership and it's customers costing the dealership or dealer group even more and forcing the customer to wait for a ride. Managing a fleet of loaner cars is one way to solve this problem and car rentals are another, but all of these options add complexity, cost and are not as scaleable as other solutions like Uber for Business.

The fact that Dealerships, and automotive brands spend millions marketing their brands and products in order to create the best possible experience is at odds with loaner vehicle, rentals and taxi's that don't align with the customer experience successful brands and dealers need to create to be successful in 2020.
