How to Create Value with Your Content

Learn about what people are looking for on LinkedIn to offer meaningful knowledge and resources with the things you share.

Good engagement starts with valuable content. So what are people looking for? They’re seeking connections with those who are in a position to help further their career and provide insights, as well as peers who share similar experiences, interests, or goals to support them on their journey.

Here are a few tips to consider when sharing based on things we know people are interested in learning about:?

Upleveling Skills:

  • Think about delivering personalized, highly-actionable info to members looking to identify key skills they need to advance. For example, try offering a variety of ways to skill up–from bite-sized nuggets to more advanced learning resources you’ve benefited from.?

Making Connections:

  • Offer different strategies from your personal experience to help others connect with people who can help them advance like hiring managers, potential mentors, or sponsors. Additionally, consider telling people about communities or Groups that have helped you meet people in your industry or led you to exciting opportunities.??

Navigating Careers:?

  • Give guidance on how to foster a long term successful career instead of just focusing on getting the next job.?

We hope this helps and can’t wait to see how you integrate it into what you share next!

What’s New

We’re always thinking up new ways to help you grow with product updates–here’s the latest!

Now that you have a better idea about what to share, we recommend scheduling your content in advance so you can focus on interacting with the conversations it sparks. Plus, our scheduling feature just got a new update.

?You can now schedule Polls and reshares as future posts!?

When thinking about your content calendar, you can now add Polls and reshares to your planning schedule on LinkedIn. With the option to choose the exact date and time your posts go live, you have the freedom to plan ahead and easily manage what you’ve scheduled before it’s posted.

How it works: ?When creating a new post, you’ll now see a ‘scheduling’ icon to the left of the Post button. To schedule your post, simply click the icon to choose the date and time you want your content to be shared. If you need to modify the date and time, delete a scheduled post, or see all your scheduled posts in one place, you can make those edits there as well.

I am so sorry. There is no such thing as "this is the way you do". What value is for some might not be for others and it's not all about hitting the majority all the time. It's a completely wrong point of view and worse of all...a totally wrong direction in generel world wide. Creators are not in numbers...real bangers are often those who don't do mainstream and mostly also those who shows the way for new and others.
