Create a fast email marketing list from scratch with Facebook & Landing Page
Do you need a Return on Investment? Then, why not build an email marketing list?
Not only will you realize more than ROI but you will be reaching out to prospects in a way that you are almost sure that they saw your content. With an email, unlike a social media ad, you are dealing with an individual who is guaranteed to see your content.
Building an email list for commercial purpose should not be a hard task. In fact, within a very short period of time, you can be having a quantitative amount of personal email addresses.
In this post, we will discuss how to build an email marketing list using two ways that are tested and proven to work. i.e. Facebook and landing pages.
Facebook.
Maybe you are even shocked to hear that you can use Facebook to build an email list. Facebook is a social media platform that you have been using for either commercial purposes or for getting closer to friends and family.
Now it has more to offer. A way to create an email marketing list.
How?
First things first. If you don’t have a business page, you should get one then use the;
>CTA (Call-To-Action)
This is found on the upper page of your business page and is close to the like button. The CTA button is a good choice because on its settings, you can configure how you want the button to respond once the user clicks on it.
It can be used to re-direct the user to a page or form that you will have prepared in advance. This form will provide a way for the user to provide their personal information and the crucial among them is an email address.
>Cover photo.
Yes, cover photo. This the first thing a person sees when they visit your business page. Capture their attention the moment they are on the page and still gazing at the profile and cover photo.
To use it for requesting their email address, cleverly create a photo that does more than entertain the curiosity of your visitors. Include a call to subscribe to your recent newsletter, e-book, software etc.
Additionally, you can provide digital products like eBook’s or newsletters on the picture then place a URL at the cover photo which when clicked redirects the visitor to a sign in webpage or form. That they use to enter their details.
>Offer incentives.
Users will be more willing to provide their email addresses if they are enticed to do so. You can hold a completion on Facebook where you will ask for entries. Make the rules clear and the prices to won should be outlined. But make the whole process should be well outlined, easy to participate and sweet enough that it will be hard to ignore the subscribing call.
As an entry requirement, the user will be required to comment or inbox you their email address, or prepare a link where they can be re-directed to sign up with their email addresses.
To choose the winner, depending on the type of contest you were running, you may involve them to decide the winner or winners.
Landing pages.
Your website’s landing page is another sure place to meet and build email marketing lists. To perfectly achieve the numbers, make sure your landing page is;
>Neat
A landing page that will capture most of the attention of the visitor is one which is simple with no overly-done content. This may include things like flashing text. It should also not include sidebars, home button or any other type of navigation.
Include only the information that is a must. This will include how frequent you are planning to be sending content to their email address. Specify whether it’s daily, weekly or monthly.
>Benefits of signing.
This is very important as it will influence whether the visitor signs up or just leaves after seeing there is no point of signing up.
The benefits can be outlined by way of a paragraph or a bulleted list on top of the landing page.
Whether you are using Facebook or landing page methods, there are some commons ways that can be applied to both to maximize the number of email addresses you harvest. In any case;
>Provide proof that you have helped others before.
This done by showcasing stories of people who have benefited before by subscribing to your mailing list or from your services and or products.
>Be unique.
Visitors are not interested in a business that is like any other they know. In your email harvesting campaign, insist that your products/service or business is unique and nobody else offers what you have.
>The time is now!
The intended subscriber should not be given time to think over the deal. Make it as urgent as possible. You can even indicate that the subscription is only open for a given period of time after which it will be closed and you don’t know when you will open it again.
Now that you have that email list with hundreds or thousands of subscribers, what next?
Something that you should not forget is that these emails belong to people. You will need to directly talk to them each time you appear in their inboxes. You should strive to create and maintain worthy relationships with your list.
To do this, your subscribers should not always look forward to you selling to them. Sometimes, occasionally, send them materials that you think they may need that’s not related to your business.
This may be educational material or some encouragement messages.
Finally,
To start building the email marketing list, start in your own backyard. Start with customers in your database. If you have been collecting emails through your POS then it’s time to wipe the dirt off them and put them into meaningful use.
Your family and friends are also a good point to start building the list.
But before you add them, reach out to them and explain what you are doing, how you will do it and when you will be doing it.
