Create The Dash You Want
As you begin this new work week, we at ClinBiz wanted to take this time to send some encouraging and motivating words your way as we can all use such words during these challenging times. For this Monday's motivation we wanted to begin by sharing with you a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as today is the official US holiday chosen to celebrate his life and accomplishments.
"All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence." (Martin Luther King Jr.)
Therefore, no matter what your job title is (or is not), no matter how celebrated or not your efforts are, no matter if you are the janitor (we are thankful for you) or the CEO, if you are uplifting people's lives and somehow making it better, what you do has dignity and importance and should be done with "painstaking excellence". Do it with excellence.
In line with this same quote, I once heard someone say that when our time has come to an end on this earth and we die there will be a tombstone with our name on it, the year we were born and the year we died with a dash in between. That dash will represent all we did in our time here on earth - good, bad or indifferent. The question I leave with you today as you start your week is what do you want your "dash" to represent? Now, go out this week and create the "dash" you want. Stay motivated, stay well as there will be better days ahead. Let us know how you are doing and any other ways we can better support you in 2021. To a great 2021 for you and your families!
