Crazy Idea. Ridiculous Wealth.

Crazy Idea. Ridiculous Wealth.

Isn't that just the dream? Haven't we all fantasized, at some time, about coming up with that one crazy idea that leads to ridiculous wealth beyond our wildest dreams?

If you're new to us it is recommended that you read issue 1: One Idea is All it Takes

In last week's first edition, we did a Google search for: ‘ideas that made ordinary people wealthy’ and reviewed just 1 of 38?600?000 results – 8 People Just Like You Who Made $1 Million – to conclude: If ordinary folk from diverse backgrounds can do it - YOU can do it too!

If ordinary people can do extraordinary things, so can YOU.

To underscore the point, let's explore a little further some of the 10 links on page 1 of the search topic: ‘ideas that made ordinary people wealthy’. (Please note: reference to these links are time-specific as at writing and links may and will change over time. The importance of the concept of consistently researching what it is that makes ideas ultimate wealth-generators does not change.)

The trick is to immerse yourself into a world of wonder & amazement at the often crazy, incredible, unbelievable, ideas that people come up with that make it big, and to open your mind to the possibility that you can do it too. You have got to allow yourself to BELIEVE in your potential to do just as these crazy folk with their crazy ideas have done. And, here's the good news.. you don't have to be 'crazy'! Look for the clues.

Link 1: 9 Ridiculous Ideas That Made People Ridiculously Rich - (currently defaults to '15 outrageous ideas that made people ridiculously rich')

Here we learn that Gary Dahl, the creator of the Pet Rock, came up with the idea of selling rocks on a bed of hay and made $15 million in just six months.

Bernard & Murray Spain leveraged the yellow smiley face with the slogan ‘Have a nice day’ into a $500 million dollar profit. Harvey Ball, the original designer of the smiley face made just $45. Frenchman Franklin Loufrani trademarked the smiley face and formed The Smiley Company that generates over $100 million annually.

Joel Comm created the iFart App, netting his company over $400?000 and tons of exposure. Venture Beat in December 2008 reported that the app was making Comm almost $10,000 daily.

Ken Hakuta generated $80 million with the Wacky Wall Walker – selling 240 million units in a few months.

Eric Nakagawa (aka Cheezburger) and Kari Unebasami (aka Tofu burger) took a picture of a chubby cat, added a caption – ‘I Can Has Cheezburger?’ – and sold their blog format website hosting funny animal videos for $2 million.

Richard James dropped a tension spring on the floor and came up with the idea of The Slinky, generating over $250 million in sales.

Scott Boilen creates the ridiculous-looking Snuggie – a bathrobe blanket put on backwards – so ridiculous that patent attorneys dismissed it as not worthy of patenting, and generates over $200 million.

British student Alex Tew creates the Million Dollar Home Page to fund his college education and sells 1 million pixels for $1 each.

Ty Warner created Beanie Babies to generate $700 million in one year, to growing an empire valued between $3 – $6 billion. And then.. he went bust! Not all stories and/or ideas have happy endings. Learn from the failures.

The moral of these 9 stories on Link 1 is this:

Explore every crazy idea that you have, act upon it, research it, test it, it could be YOUR million-dollar idea.

Next week:?issue 3 - we'll explore Link 2 - '13 brilliant ideas that turned these people into self-made billionaires' on page 1 of the search topic - 'ideas that made ordinary people wealthy'. Only some +-38,600,000 results to go.. ;-)

It’s not really the transparent truth to say if others have done it so can you. There is always A pattern Discipline Focus Meaning that’s connected Energy Risk averse to a point Right team around you Same focus and above criteria and a few other things I’ve profiled in over 2333 each one very more unique than similar It’s easy to generalize But transparent profiling produces other interesting criteria at play even in context and environment #drbillprice #entreoeneurs #neurosciencebased #successtips #failureispartofsuccess
