Crazy, Big Talent Is No Joke At Rhodes

Three guests and one team member walk into Rhodes.?Do you think they looked both ways before walking into the “Rhodes?”?Ok, I know that is a terrible joke.?However, it is National Tell a Joke Day.?We would love to hear your jokes in the comments section.

While it may be the holiday of telling jokes, we are not joking about how crazy good our teams are.?Summertime is definitely our busy season.?Family road trips, weekends at the lake, warm weather, kids’ sports, etc. keep our guests busy.?It’s our team’s responsibility to create an outstanding experience for our guests while they shop for everything they need to make their summer experiences great.

Providing this experience is a breeze.?It takes very little effort.?Yeah, that’s another JOKE!?I’m not joking when I say each of our team members work to provide an outstanding experience for every single guest we serve.?This level of experience goes beyond just being friendly and processing sales transactions.?Behind the scenes, or what I like to call “between transactions,” is a grind.?Keeping stores and restrooms clean 24 hours a day, stocking products, brewing fresh coffee and tea at all hours and on and on and on, requires high attention to detail. Then there is making cups and lids readily available for our fountain drinks and keeping hot, fresh food ready for guests to grab on the run.?The list is endless, and it must be repeated multiple times a day, 7 days a week over 365 days a year no matter the weather or situation.

This type of experience does not happen without having crazy talented teams in every store.?They hustle like no other.?They are fast.?They are friendly.?They are efficient in their roles.?Each team member has a sense of pride and ownership of their stores, which motivates them to go above and beyond for their current and future guests.?Our store leaders not only engage with their guests, but also create an environment for their teams that is fun, allows professional growth and leaves them excited for the next shift.?

“Love your job and you will never work a day in your life,” as they say.?Rhodes Convenience Stores’ culture perfectly aligns with that saying.?This is not a joke, this we know for sure.?Without our crazy good teams, Rhodes would not be the stores that so many guests have come to love and make a part of their daily routine.
