2. It was also Rwanda’s turn to witness the magic of maya.ai. The Inclusive FinTech Forum which was held over June 21-22,?was a stepping stone in increasing financial inclusivity in the region. Our founder & CEO, Suresh V Shankar participated in a panel discussion on 'Digital Lending, Funding, Pricing and Data'. He was also part of The Founder’s Peak, where he shared?his views and insights with the AI community. More from the event below.?

1. We all get to question #ChatGPT. But Suresh Shankar got to do the same with Sam Altman, the founder of its parent company, OpenAI . How cool is that! According to Suresh, “Sam came across as calm, well-meaning, and conflicted between the power of AI and its pitfalls. A bit vulnerable even.” For more insights from their exchange, head here.

2. “AI is an orbit shifter.?Not using AI would be like riding a bicycle when everyone else has a motorbike. You could have the best bicycle, but that wouldn’t make a difference,” says Raju Bhupatiraju, our Chief Revenue Officer. Innovation and information as we turned 11

1. It’s our birthday month! And we decided to celebrate it doing what we love most – finding creative solutions. Thus came Crayothon 2023 - Crayon’s internal hackathon! With 60 participants in 12 teams, they worked over three days towards ONE common goal: innovation.

On June 16, they went head-to-head in front of a panel of judges to pitch their ideas under the following themes: Disruptive Tech, Artificial Intelligence, Social Commerce, Alternate Data. Swipe through the post to see how they fared!?

2. The omnichannel dominance of digital wallets has captured a substantial share of transactions. We’re talking close to 50% of e-commerce and 32% of point-of-sale (POS) transactions worldwide. More on how digital wallets are transforming the global payment landscape here.

3. British mathematician Clive Humby was spot on with his prediction: “Data is the new oil.” It reflects not only the value of data, but also its exhaustible nature. But what can we do to meet this inadequacy? It’s not like we can manufacture data. Or, can we? Synthetic data might have the answer.
