Craving Simplicity in Your Business? Here Are 3 Areas to Revisit for 2023

A huge part of building and scaling your online empire is understanding opportunity cost: in other words, where can you spend your time, energy and money to get the biggest return?
With everything going on around us right now, most of us are operating in a state of pure overwhelm. Our word of the year for 2023: focus.
How you choose to focus your time over the next 12 months will determine your ability to build momentum and speed in your growth journey. So today, I'm sharing 3 things you can do to simplify starting now to streamline your focus and multiply your results.
#1: Focus on service delivery and client acquisition. Eliminate the rest.
Simplify your core actions down to two buckets: serving your existing clients, and getting more of them. When you do this, you will find that everything you are currently doing in your business will either contribute to one of these two key things, or neither. This can easily help you uncover 20-30 hours of the week that are dedicated to all sorts of things that don't fit into those two categories.
This is likely diluted energy that isn't contributing to the breakthrough you ultimately desire, instead, taking away your ability to serve clients at the highest level (remember: results = renewals, referrals, retention, and upsells) or get more of them.
So, the first step to simplify to multiply in 2023, is grab a piece of paper and split it down into those three columns: service delivery, client acquisiton, or neither.
Identify all the things that go in that "neither" category that you can stop doing because they aren't contributing to your growth. By the end of this excercise, vyou will have more time on your calendar to focus on connecting and selling to more people, and creating top notch service delivery that leads to better results.

#2: Remove the barriers between you and your audience.
So many business owners struggle to communicate with their audience in a meaningful way. They lack the ability to connect people to their core message and magnetize them, and so they struggle to convert followers into paying customers.
But, if I looked at how their time is being spent, there is little to no time on their calendar for direct interface with the market. They are spending their time overcomplicating their marketing with excessive automation, fancy funnels, and other tech-heavy strategies instead of taking it back to basic human connection: sending the personalized audio message, customized videos, private DMs, Zoom calls, live streaming, picking up the phone and making a call. In the world of social media, we can connect with billions of people across the globe at any time, absolutely free. How much of your time is spent leveraging that gift?
Take that same piece of paper you wrote on before and let's revisit that third category of "neither." All of the time you were previously spending on activities that were not moving the needle, replace it with time spent in direct interface with your market.
You need to be vigilant in removing the things that aren't directly correlated with serving or acquiring customers, and focus that time on your audience: allowing them to feel your energy, build a relationship with you, and remove the layers that exist between you and potential clients.
#3: Link arms with a mentor
Now more than ever, it is critical to be in the room with people who are where you want to be. Study them, learn from them, ask lots of questions. Linking with someone who has overcome obstacles, navigated hurdles you are currently faced with, and achieved the levels of success you aspire to, will be he ultimate shortcut to getting from where you are to where you want to be.
We all know there is a ton of craziness going on right now in the world, and a lot of concern about what's to come. But the good news is that as entrepreneurs, we have the ability to create create our own economy. And, your ability to do so hinges on your ability to FOCUS. To spend your time and energy on the right things and getting the correct mentorship and guidance to avoid delays and distractions.
