We all seek new opportunities with the eye towards "the grass is always greener on the other side". As we grow older we begin to reflect on the reason we are in the positions we are in - is it fate? Or even divine intervention - or is it just damn luck (whether good or bad) or a little of both. As life unfolds around you - we are all pushed and pulled in so many directions - by our spouses, kids, colleagues, and career aspirations. We spend countless days working hard (well some of us) - and ultimately a few of us become big winners, but in most cases we find a way to survive on a so-so income and live day to day. But that is the law of averages and no matter how hard some people try - they do not have the connections, educational, or wherewithal to achieve the self actualization that Maslow's theory of hierarchy spoke about. So in closing live your life with a focus on your family and the simple pleasures.
You titles and short term fame fades away in a heart beat.
