What is HUMPHREE? Stabilization?

The HUMPHREE? stabilization system features electric trim fins, installed in the yacht's hull, which can be custom-requested by the owner. These fins work in tandem with two INTERCEPTOR trim tabs installed at the stern of the boat. While the fins are designed to stabilize the vessel during navigation, the trim tabs adjust the yacht’s attitude and balance.

This dynamic combination allows for real-time stabilization, providing comfort in all conditions—from zero speed to maximum cruising speeds. The system significantly reduces pitching and rolling, enhancing the overall ride quality and improving fuel efficiency by minimising drag.

How does the HUMPHREE? system work?

The magic of HUMPHREE? lies in its integration with the yacht’s existing systems. The electric fins rotate and adjust automatically, stabilizing the yacht, while the INTERCEPTOR trim tabs adjust the boat’s attitude, ensuring maximum stability. During navigation, the 24V DC power system powers the system without needing a separate generator, as the main engine alternators charge the batteries that supply power to the stabilization system.
