Crafting Content, Cultivating Growth: 10 Learnings from Publishing 50 LinkedIn Articles

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step—a saying often underestimated but a reality and a true catalyst for growth and endeavors in the future. But how many times do we take this initiative to begin this journey?

Reflecting on my journey in content creation through the expression of writing, there has been a whole evolution with the ability to observe, explore, and then write. This evolution is not just about what I write; it is also an evolution in me as a person and a professional, where each theme I delved into and wrote about has taught me new things about the world and myself. The journey of writing articles on LinkedIn that began in September 2022 has not only served as a creative outlet but as a means of continuous learning, growth, and self-discovery. Recently, I marked the milestone of publishing 50 articles on LinkedIn, which has given me immense confidence and a forward push for more writing, learning, exploration, and personal and professional development for my future.

With each article, I have delved deeper into my own experience, knowledge, diversity of interests, and wisdom, and with each article has come immense learning and lessons that can be a source of inspiration for others. I now look forward to sharing these learnings with all, adding more momentum to these continuing efforts, fuelling more action-oriented project contributions, and exploring lifelong learning in the journey of content creation and learning. Let me now share ten pivotal learnings that have shaped my journey into content creation through writing and distilled from each article published.

1.????? Found my voice – ?Writing has been a latent passion of mine for many years. From beginning to write short quotes back in 2010 to now writing long-form articles, this expressive expedition through writing has become the choice to say what can't be said, and since this consistent journey of writing, especially from the last year and now marked by the milestone of 50 articles published on LinkedIn, has given me immense energy, hope, and a future to my insights, wisdom, and experience through writing, I think I have now found my voice, my voice through which I get to express my deepest thoughts to the audience.

2.????? I learned the strength of expressing truths and stories simply – Creativity is not a science, though it is often lacking by many. It is actually doing a simple yet powerful action and sticking to it where most do not. I have learned this by understanding that the strength lies in expressing reality; that is the simplest and most powerful way of inspiration. By sharing my work experiences, observations, and explorations, whether professional or beyond the professional, and drawing inspiration, action, and wisdom from them, I drive raw creativity, innovation, and unconventional learning.

3.????? I learned to be action-oriented –? Consistent writing, observation, and exploration have kept a busy schedule for me apart from my professional commitments. Things that I observe, places that I travel, and experiences that I have now play a different role and perspective in my learning. All these have played an important part in my becoming more action-oriented; the more I write, the more curious I become, which is all fuelled by more action; everything has become like a reaction to action, thus continuing like a cycle of growth.

4.????? Writing at length nurtures confidence and enduring growth – There has been a boost of confidence and enduring growth in me as a person and professional through this journey of consistent writing and then reaching the 50-article milestone on LinkedIn. I can now observe and learn through my own experience and journey that I now have a growth and creator mindset, and everything I experience, explore and go through I can effectively present in an impactful manner through creative and written storytelling to inspire others. I now have this opportunity in front of me to carry this and channel this confidence into the future to raise this level to a higher level of thought leadership experience.

5.????? Honed using AI for headline and theme generation, a key futuristic skill – We live in a rapidly technologically disruptive world, and day by day we are witnessing a surge in technological advancement. It is an opportunity for us to leverage such technologies at their best; one such is generative AI. Artificial intelligence is not only helping us to solve many issues and handle mundane work but also taking us to another level of craftsmanship. Understanding this role of AI, I have used it best in its capacity as a virtual mentor, partner, and assistant. With vast thoughts of curiosity, insights, and scenarios, I have crafted my own prompts to just generate headlines. It helped me to come up with a roadmap of the most intricate thoughts that I had related to any theme that I wanted to explore. This roadmap then became a compass for my own writing.

6.????? Ability to think, operate, and write quickly – Consistency in any art brings success, and being authentic in my writing, being action-oriented, creating stories, moving with confidence, and leveraging technology for efficiency have enhanced my overall capabilities to think, operate, and write quickly. I learned that when we are operating from the joy of creation mindset, the content just flows. Out of fifty, my last twenty-five articles have come in the last three months, whereas the first twenty-five came in 12 months. The ability to think, create, and write content has just improved at a really fast pace. This improved speed of my mind is a real game changer for not only my content but for my whole professional future as an agile, adaptive, and knowledgeable professional.

7.????? Increased writing led to enhanced observation and deeper exploration – Be it any theme that I wrote on, wildlife, wars, learning, professional development, lifelong learning, or my work stories, the more I wrote on them, the more I observed and explored the themes. This has been a reason for how I have been able to produce content in variety and from different perspectives on similar themes. This also led to an unending urge to learn more and write more in a virtuous cycle of learning and growth.

8.????? Embracing continuous learning and establishing Thought Leadership – Writing consistently has given me immense learning opportunities toward growing as a professional and person. I have felt that when I write, it comes from within, and what I write, I become. The interests, themes, observations, and explorations I have addressed through my writing are not just pieces of content but the beginning of my journey of continuous education of life and establishing my thought leadership in this ever-extending education landscape of life.

9.????? Embracing diversity in content writing – Not just consistency, but diversity has also been the key to fast-paced writing. With a deep urge to explore everything that I want to learn, exploring and digging deep has driven me to pursue a divest writing approach, from educational to learning to wildlife to global themes, which has kept my mind always on work. One piece that I finish gives my mind another perspective to pursue to satisfy my intellectual hunger, and this has become an unending and unceasing momentum of content creation.

10.? Learning about personal branding in the age of digital transformation – The present age brings a unique confluence of opportunities for a lasting impact. The current era of technological advancements brings the Age of the Internet, social media, the Power of Generative AI, the freelance working landscape, thought leadership, and lifelong learning. It has created an unprecedented opportunity for individuals to pursue their passions and make a difference. Understanding this, I embrace this milestone and continuous journey of content writing as an effort towards my personal branding. In this journey, I have started to slowly gain followership on LinkedIn and now look further to build an audience and take broader actions fuelled by my writing towards positive change and unconventional learning.
