Intro ??
Before you start crafting, you need to experiment, test, and explore various methods, techniques, and environments.
As a lawyer, I have iterated and iterated and iterated over my 10 years of practicing law. I have largely followed a blueprint that has gone something like:
The creative ideation process does not have a limit, but in the end you need to start crafting. Creative ideas are great. Brainstorming is great. But that only gets you so far. Action is needed. A painting stuck in an artists mind does no one else any good. You have to get messy, allowing paint to fly, sawdust to blow, and clay to mold.
I have entered into the crafting phase. I feel like the culmination of a decade of creative iteration has led me to a period of crafting. It is time to build something instead of constantly experimenting.
Book Worth Reading ??
Rick Rubin's The Creative Act: A Way of Being.
Tidbit/Tip ??
Listen to what the universe is telling you. Many times we don't pay attention to the feedback we are receiving from friends, clients, family, the donut shop owner, etc. Stop and listen. Be open and receptive to what life is already providing. The answers are usually waiting for you even if in whispers.
