Cracking the communication code and converting clients...

As architects and designers, we know that effective communication is key to building successful client relationships and winning new business. That's why I'm excited to share with you an upcoming CPD activity that I recently wrote, titled "Cracking the Communication Code & Converting Clients".

Through this activity, we will gain valuable insights on how to understand and tailor our communication style to better connect with clients and increase conversion rates. Here are a few teasers for this upcoming CPD content:

  1. The Importance of Effective Communication in Client Conversion. In order to convert potential clients into actual clients, it's essential to communicate effectively with them. By doing so, we can build trust, establish a rapport, and demonstrate our expertise. Effective communication is especially important when it comes to complex projects, where clients may have a limited understanding of design concepts.
  2. Identifying Communication Styles Using a Validated Assessment Tool. DNA Behaviour's validated assessment tool helps to identify communication style as well as our clients' communication styles. Understanding these styles can help us tailor our communication approach to better resonate with our clients.
  3. Developing Effective Communication Strategies Tailored to Clients' communication styles. Once we understand our clients' communication styles, we can adapt our communication strategies to better suit their preferences. This might mean adjusting our language, tone, or even our mode of communication (e.g. phone vs. email vs. in-person).

For example, if we know that a client values data and facts, we can provide them with evidence-based design solutions that demonstrate our expertise.

By understanding our own communication style and that of our colleagues, we can work more effectively together and achieve better outcomes.
