In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, the Fixed Assets Budgeting function facilitates the planning and management of expenses related to fixed assets within an organization.
Step 1 Create Budgeted Fixed Assets
In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, managing fixed assets involves tracking and recording the value of long-term assets used in the operations of a business. Budgeted fixed assets can be incorporated into the system to plan for future acquisitions or disposals of fixed assets within a specified budget.
1.??? Click?for Menu path: Search bar à Fixed Assets.
2.??? Select your Desired Fixed Asset Card or Create a new one.
3.??? Check marks the Budgeted Asset Check Box.
Step 2 Create Fixed Assets Budgeted Acquisition Journal
4.??? Click?for Menu path: Search bar à Fixed Assets Journal.
5.??? Enter the Following:
6.??? From Post Tab Select Post.
7.??? A confirmation Message that you want to post the Journal Lines.
8.??? Click Yes.
Step 3 Create Fixed Assets Budgeted Depreciation Journal
9.??? Click?for Menu path: Search bar à Fixed Assets.
10.??? Select Budgeted Fixed Asset.
11.??? You Can Observe that the Budgeted Fixed Asset has been updated by the Budgeted Acquisition Amount.
12.??? Click Home then Select Calculate Depreciation.
13.??? Enter The Following:
14.??? Click Ok.
15.??? The Depreciation Message has been created Do you want to open the depreciation Journal.
16.??? Click Yes.

17.??? The System will calculate the budgeted depreciation.
18.??? Click Post from Post Menu.
Step 4 Run Budgeted Report Fixed Asset Book Value 01
19. Click?for Menu path: Search bar à Fixed Asset Book value 01.
20. Enter the Following:
21. Click Preview.
Step 5 Move the Budgeted Fixed Assets Entries to G/L Budget
22. Click?for Menu path: Search bar à Depreciation Book.
23. Click the Depreciation Book.
24. Open Action Menu then from Function menu Select Copy FA Entries to G/L Budget.
25. Enter The Following:
26. Click Ok.
27. Click?for Menu path: Search bar à G/L Budgets.
28. Click the targeted Budget.
29. Change from Filter Section to the targeted date and Show balance Sheet Option.
30. You can Observe that the budget has been affected by the fixed assets entries.
