CQC strategic workshop, road to outstanding and networking event

The training day covers bespoke to audience On the day

The day begins with a look at the Legislative Framework, Regulations and associated Code of Practice. This is followed by group work looking in depth at a number of Regulations along with evidence requirements. Using information from inspections, we identify what takes your service from “good” to “outstanding”

One of the most important sessions of the day is highlighting all the recent and ongoing changes in legislative requirements. The outcome of this session identifies how these changes will impact your organisation and its services, this includes areas such as recruitment and selection, safeguarding, quality assurance, non-compliance and enforcement.


This interactive session is revised for every workshop to keep everyone up to date with the very latest changes in the Health and Social Care sector.

By the end of the workshop participants should;

? Understand and interpret the current regulatory and legislative framework


? Identify areas of improvement


? Be able to develop and plan for continuous improvement and compliance

 


Workshop contents

? Understanding the Health & Social Care Act 2008,(Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and how it impacts your role.


? Awareness of changes in the relevant legislation, guidance and good practice and its implementation on your service.


? KLOES – Safe, Caring, Responsive, Effective and Well Led.


? Maintaining and improving your ratings.


? Collecting evidence for outstanding.


? CQC Inspection Regime.


? Reflection on the days learning.


The emphasis is on maintaining and improving current practice to ensure you achieve a Good or Outstanding rating

AIM:

? To focus on "Outstanding" and how to get there

? To understand the CQC ratings system

? Define "Outstanding" and link to quality objectives

? To think outside the box and plan your Road to Outstanding

OBJECTIVES:

? To enable participants to identify the starting points of achieving Outstanding

? To understand how to build a robust structure which allows Outstanding to be seen

? To learn and discuss why Outstanding is so difficult to maintain

? Looking at CQC ratings

? Discussing and planning how to get Outstanding

? Identifying the areas that matter and the evidential national reports on outstanding to lower rating 

? Requirements on meeting "Outstanding"

? The use of technology and its impact on ratings

? Maintaining Outstanding

? National trends - Looking ahead and keeping service improvement and development in focus
