CPI to a hit a new milestone in the Energy business in Africa

Below is the press release announcing another strategic move elevating the International Energy Unit (IEU) of CPI International Group globally:

Dr. Hossam ElShazly, the International Political and Economic Advisor and the President & CEO of the CPI International Group announced that the International Energy Unit - IEU concluded another major milestone in the renewable energy business of CPI in Africa. The announcement came during the official press conference of the CPI International Group in Lucerne on Friday, August 4, 2017.

The Director of the International Energy Unit, Dr. AbdelHakim Hassabou signed the official collaboration agreement last week with H.E.Dr. Omer Mustafa ElKhidir The Under-Secretary of the MENRPD - Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Physical Development at the Republic of Sudan. The agreement details the collaboration between CPI and the MENRPD in the fields of, Waste to Energy (WTE), Technology Transfer and Professional Training.

‘’The collaboration between CPI-IEU and the Nile River State in Sudan is another major step in the WTE/ Waste to Energy Business of CPI in Africa’’ Said Dr. El-Shazly.

CPI-IEU also concluded the official agreement with the Nile River State of Sudan, as Director of the IEU signed the agreement with H.E. Mr. Hatim Al-Wassila Al-Sammani, the Governor of the NRS. The project between CPI-IEU and the NRS aims at the Development and investment in solid waste processing and waste to energy (W2E) projects in the territory of up to 1000 ton/day municipal solid waste. Additionally, The W2E plants will be integrated with solar power plants of up to 100 MW based on BOT and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between the parties. 

According to Dr. Hassabou, the Director of the IEU, The project is one of the serials of projects agreed between the CPI and the government of Sudan.

“This is another great addition to our major Energy projects in Africa following the conclusion of our partnership with BIONAS Malaysia working together for the UN- Great Wall of Africa project GGWA - with the first phase of the investment exceeds USD 12.2 Billion” in 4 countries, Nigeria, Chad, Sudan and Ghana.’’ Said Dr. El-Shazly, the President & CEO of the CPI International Group.
