CP122682 - The Inventor 7 Deadly Sins of 3D Part Modeling

There are key moments in your career where knowledge and experience fall into place, and you begin to make intuitive leaps that rocket you forward.

I experienced one of these 'A-Ha!' moments when I first watched Jake Fowlers Autodesk University class 'Get Smart with Inventor Modelling'.

Jake's class carefully leads us through the 3D Modelling tools in Autodesk Inventor, explaining what is happening 'under the hood' as the Autodesk Shape Manager (the 3D Geometry Kernel) works out the shapes we see on screen.

Armed with this knowledge, we can build more robust and reliable CAD models in Inventor - or at least, we can understand what to do if Inventor fails to return the result we were expecting.

So - I hope you'll understand what an honour it is for me to be working with the Autodesk ASM team on an updated version of the class for Autodesk University 2017.

For a preview of what we will cover, you can see Indy Wilkhu's #AULondon Lab here:

I think that this may be the class I'm most excited to be presenting at AU this year. I really am standing on the shoulders of Giants :)
