CP Media secures three new council contracts for roundabout sponsorship schemes

CP Media is delighted to announce that we have recently been awarded contracts by three different councils to manage their roundabout sponsorship schemes. These partnerships mark a significant milestone in our commitment to working with local communities to promote local businesses, enhance public spaces and support essential council services.

Walsall Council

We are delighted to have won the contract to source and manage sponsorship on behalf of Walsall Council on their roundabout portfolio. All signs from the previous scheme have been removed and we are installing brand new signs for local business sponsors of the scheme. We are already establishing a great partnership with the Council, working with Joanne Jackson, Head of Marketing, and we are already looking at adding a pilot scheme for sponsorship of litter bins in high-footfall areas, as well as on other assets, to help build revenue for the Council to help maintain vital services. There will be 40 roundabout sites and 40 litter bins available to sponsor in the first phase of the new scheme.

We have built a widespread presence in the Midlands over the years, working with local communities and businesses to drive income to local councils to help maintain vital services, so we are really pleased to be able to add Walsall to our portfolio. Walsall Council has had a roundabout sponsorship scheme in place for a number of years, but we are updating all of the signage and working in close partnership with the Marketing and Communications Team at the Council to re-launch the scheme and offer a better-quality proposition to local businesses. Peterborough City Council

Peterborough Council has awarded CP Media the contract to rejuvenate its previous roundabout sponsorship scheme, which had been managed in-house until now. We have designed brand new, high-quality sign hardware in conjunction with the Council and will gradually phase the new signs in as existing sponsor campaigns expire. We are working closely with Sally Thomas, Design & Print Manager, to re-market the scheme and provide exciting new sponsorship opportunities to local businesses, which comprises over 70 roundabout sites.

"Having won a competitive tender process, we are delighted to be working with Peterborough City Council on their roundabout sponsorship scheme. The previous sponsorship signage required updating so we have already put in place a programme of upgrading the signage which will be completed in the next few weeks. This, along with a complete restructuring of the opportunities available to local businesses, means that we are excited to launch the new scheme and form long-lasting partnerships with local businesses and the Council." ?(Richard Eccles, COO, CP Media)

East Sussex County Council

CP Media has recently been successful in a competitive tender process to take over the management of its roundabout sponsorship scheme in almost 60 locations. The Council has made great efforts to maintain all the roundabout sites over the years and this scheme will continue to help fund that vital maintenance programme in the coming years. Sign hardware is being modernised in partnership with the Council and all sponsors will be given the opportunity to refresh their existing campaigns and new sponsors provided with sites in key locations in the county.

"East Sussex County Council’s roundabout sponsorship scheme has always been a key target for us and we are looking forward to working with the Council as we take over the management of the scheme. We are rejuvenating the hardware and taking over responsibility for maintaining the roundabouts themselves, which will all offer excellent advertising opportunities for the local business community. We know that there is a vibrant business community across East Sussex and we keen to help them develop and grow by creating awareness and building their brands via roundabout advertising."
