The Cow or the Bison - which are you?

The Cow or the Bison - which are you?

On the plains of North America, you can find the uniqueness of both cows and the Bison grazing the lush green grass and living contented side by side

However, being out on the plains leaves them exposed, and when a storm hits the two animals make two very different decisions! The herd of cows always decide to run away from the storm to avoid the discomfort, but as the storm catches up with them, they end up exposed to the pain of the wind and rain for much longer. The herd of Bison, in contrast, always decide to head directly into the oncoming storm, taking it head-on and pushing right through it, thus feeling the discomfort for a much shorter period and sometimes even reaching the mountain ranges before the worst of the storm hit.

The leadership lesson from this is that if you fear the oncoming storms and try to run away from them, then you will expose yourself to more significant difficulties. However, if you follow the path of the Bison and tackle the storm head-on, then the discomfort can be for a much shorter period or maybe you avoid the storm altogether.

You can, of course, follow the masses and try and outrun the storm, but for sure it will always catch up with you There are and always will be many more cows than Bison, and as a leader, you can decide to go the opposite direction of the masses and be brave by tackling the storm head-on and leading your team through it, you may be surprised at how quickly you can come out the other side!

Confidence, common sense, humility, seeking team thoughts and then going with a plan. Nice thinking.
