COVID19: A DUAL CRISIS
I am not a Democrat or a Republican. I am an American. There is no partisan angle to the information I am providing, or my opinions, nor am I representing or speaking on behalf of any organization. Please listen to what I have to say with an open mind and heart.
The COVID19 crisis is two crises: the virus and the reaction.
Many have already been devastated and/or died as a direct and indirect result of COVID19. It is time to speak up and question our current state. More than ever we need to stand together and use discernment in the face of fear.
Lives are being lost and are at risk, and our right to liberty and pursuit of happiness has been indefinitely mandated away (in Pennsylvania since March 31, 2020).
The government COVID19 data as-is does not make sense. In Pennsylvania, the daily percentage of growth for new cases has decreased and the rate of deaths have been on a downward trend since March 25th. The CDC is re-categorizing deaths with a lag and perpetually revised data—data that nevertheless shows a downward trend.
What are these projections and decisions based on and sourced from (the source of the source)? Testing for those at risk, those working in the public, and are experiencing symptoms is limited here and in New York. Why? With testing so limited, how can we truly know the current situation?
We are in a state of panic and ill prepared for an epidemic/pandemic.
In two weeks over a million people in Pennsylvania alone are now unemployed—20% of our workforce. Access to care has all but evaporated. Domestic violence is spiraling out of control. Our already vulnerable populations are on their knees. Gun sales have surpassed records.
How many of us have had or do have the virus? Our government has a duty to fully disclose information and accurate data as well as the methods in which the unprecedented decisions and exponential projections are being made.
I am not a doctor, statistician, or an immunologist. But when things don't seem right and we don't have the answers, its time to start asking the right questions.
We are in this together, United.
