Covid Gift #2

Who would have thought that building a global 7 figure business could be so much fun?

Not me, that’s for sure!

I have no idea what I’m doing, we’re in the middle of a global crisis & yet I’m having a blast.

I’ve dreamed for many years of having a biz that was a global household name & yet it was always just a dream. I got very excited when I became a State Finalist in the Home Based Biz category & still nothing happened. I’ve always been a dreamer, as my friends & family will tell you! Big Hairy Audacious Goals. 

As much as I wanted to, I had no idea how to make it happen. I didn’t know the right people, had limited biz experience & deep down, my belief was that I’d never make it.  Heck, I never even finished school & became a mum at 16.  Who on earth was I to believe that someone like me could be successful on a scale like that?  

I changed direction, still with the big goals, & became a digital nomad, which actually wasn’t one of my dreams. It should have been?? I continued to build solid foundations, oh so slowly.

Enter Covid 19??

Lock down gave me a great opportunity to study more & as I mentioned in Covid Gift #1, make deeper connections.

I had no idea it would lead me to where I am heading or even that was where I’m heading! 

I finally feel like the years of learning in the school of life are starting to pay off. I can see where the lessons fit together to create the bigger picture. All the pieces of the puzzle are here & the edge is complete & I’m having fun putting the others into place.

I’ve always been service oriented, giving a lot of time & money as a volunteer & being able to make that the focus of my biz instead of as an extra thing to do, is truly wonderful. Helping You to Help Yourself has been my tagline for many years & it fills me up. Coaching is my passion & discovering even more powerful ways to do that has just been a dream come true. 

Pre-covid I was in the UK & realised that I was surrounded by people who definitely couldn't support my dreams or understood my way of thinking. Once I realised that I was going to be here for a while due to travel restrictions, I made a conscious decision to find supportive & inspiring people to surround myself with. Well the Big U obliged with two main groups of people, both very different yet complementing each other perfectly & several sub-groups within them. WOW!

Finding myself surrounded by people with similar visions & values, at various stages of the journey, all wanting to support me & wanting my support, yes, to realise I have something valuable to offer, is quite incredible. Paying it forward is such a powerful philosophy & I’m starting to see just how powerful it really is.

If you’ve ever read Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, arguably one of the most powerful personal development books ever written, as so many later books & successful leaders reference it, you’ll understand that besides a Desire to have something, the Faith or Belief that you can attain it & Persistence, Masterminding is perhaps the most powerful tool to achieving success.

Let’s look at the definition of a mastermind from the master himself, Napoleon Hill.

 “It is the principle through which you may borrow and use the education, the experience, the influence, and perhaps the capital of other people in carrying out your own plans in life. It is the principle through which you can accomplish in one year more than you could accomplish without it in a lifetime if you depended entirely on your own efforts for success.”

Henry Ford knew this & used it to create his empire. He surrounded himself with people who knew what he didn’t. He had a dream without the means to bring it to reality. He was uneducated & impoverished. His mastermind group provided him with everything he needed to change the world in an unprecedented way.

As a Thinking Into Results Consultant with Bob Proctor’s company PGI, part of my change of direction, I teach about the power of the mastermind in the programme & yet I didn’t fully understand the power of it until now. I always felt that it was for corporate execs, not mere people like me! Well I got that wrong with apologies to my former clients!  That is being rectified along with providing powerful tools to build the Habits of Success, again something I teach, I just didn’t have the tools to help my clients (or myself when self- discipline seemed to desert me!) truly integrate them into their daily life before now.

Who could have foreseen the gifts within this gift that Covid 19 would offer me?

• Connection. My need for deeper connection has grown considerably since Covid. I have been a loner for most of my life & it feels like that part of my life is over & it's time to connect & collaborate.
• Belief in myself & my dream
• The inspiration to look around for different vehicles to get me there. Welcome MSIs!
