This covid is criminal

Now I am not saying that I am the only who is finding it hard. There are good people out there who are also suffering. They cannot work, sure, but the government is helping them with their money worries. It is not fair that there is no help on offer for me. Just because they turn their nose up at the work I do.  

Good, decent folk want to work. They have a right to work. That is human nature right. This covid virus is just downright criminal . A few months ago I had a lucrative career. I could choose my own hours. Made good money. I provided a vital public service that created jobs.

I started my career before I had even left school.A good few decades of on the job training. I did my time. Learnt from the best of them. I learnt from the worst of them. You can learn something from everyone. The main lesson, doing a job right depends upon having the right tools, the right timing, opportunity and lots of homework. 

Now, it is impossible to do my work. Government tells everyone to stay at home. Nobody is allowed out. People forced to work from home. No need to go out I suppose. The ability to have things delivered to the door and the delivery people knowing that somebody will be there to collect. No chance for thieves to walk off with a package. I guess one of the losers are the postal service. They can no longer get away with just posting one of those cards to "apologise for missing you and that the package can be collected at some place several miles away". Now they actually have to try and deliver it. The overheads for them must have gone through the roof.

I think about going for a shave but then I change my mind. What’s the point ? No one is going to meet me or see me. I guess the razor manufacturers will also be hit by the virus.

To be honest I never like meeting people. In my job I am in the background, a ghost. Not that folk are grateful or acknowledge of all the great effort I put into my work. It is not a case of a quick in and out. You have to really care about the situation. What are the habits of your clients ? How do you work with their routine ?

It is unforgivable that I am not even allowed to apply for the government furloughed payments. There is no financial help for me. I have no income, this is bad. This furloughed system in this country is a joke. If you work for a company they practically give you your salary for sitting on your arse. What about small business people like me ? What about entrepreneurs ? We don’t get any help

I would write to my local member of parliament but I don’t know who that is. I would file a complaint with the police but they would just laugh at me.

This covid lockdown nonsense is making it impossible for a decent house burglar, like me, to earn an honest living.
