COVID-19 Wellness Test-Simple, uncomplicated solutions are needed right now and for the future.

Anthony Fauci stated that “We can influence this to varying degrees.” speaking about the course of the current coronavirus pandemic and the associated death rate and it is true. Everyone needs to do their part to help fight the current pandemic.

Everyone can do the minimum by strictly following all local and government advice, regulations and orders, but one should not stop there.

The white house corona taskforce briefing yesterday (March 31, 2020) showed exactly this. The United States have the choice, and so do other countries, on which way to go. Models range from doing nothing, resulting in over 2 million deaths in the US, to everybody doing everything suggested by the president, resulting in around 100 to 200 thousand deaths in the US alone. The truth not being revealed is that the estimated 100 to 200 thousand deaths in the US is only the minimum number, if everyone follows the rules. But it is a known fact that the intention of following the rules and actually following the rules are two different things, especially if it is unclearly communicated. It requires discipline and a change of behavior. America as well as the entire world can do better, but can at least avoid doing worse if everyone helps.

What is the test for? 

Obviously, people have to leave their home sometimes. Some people must work in critical industries and people have to go to the pharmacy, buy food or perhaps even take care of someone. By such a simple act of merely checking to know if one has an elevated body temperature, and not leaving the house if they demonstrate certain conditions, they will protect others from becoming infected. One should remember, even if one is not a high-risk candidate, someone they infect may be a high-risk individual putting them in peril to die.

By asking employers that their employees complete a wellness test online, prior to coming to work, enterprises can safeguard other employees and clients. The only data collection would be done voluntarily in a second step and only if one agrees by filling out a form and submitting it if they are symptomatic. But also in this case, anonymity will be ensured. The second form, which pops up when you have flu-like symptoms or fever, is an additional survey about one’s health condition. Such data would only be saved in a data base, without personal identifying data. It requests the following information: country and zip code without any personal identifying data, as well as some questions about the symptoms. Such data collected will be provided for free and to anyone requesting such data to assist in fighting the pandemic.
