Looking to hack the Covid-19 Pandemic? It’s a serious question.
How would you like to spend the upcoming weekend in the #EUvsVirus hackathon, and take the fight back to the virus? The virtual, pan-European hackathon will take place April 24-26.
The goal is to generate real-world solutions for coronavirus-related challenges, throughout the EU and beyond. You can be from anywhere in the world to participate. Many thanks to the European Commission (and EU member states) for organizing this.
I joined Santander about a year ago, and am proud the bank has joined the hackathon as a corporate partner. We are calling on all the creative, problem-solving, innovative developers out there to participate. Santander is focusing its efforts on the Business Continuity challenge domain. Our aim is to help businesses, especially startups and small/medium enterprises (SMEs), survive, become more resilient, rise up and thrive in the face of this pandemic. I know your imagination and hard work over the next three days can create wonderful tangible solutions here and I am looking forward to seeing these as one of judges in this category.
You might be more drawn to the other hackathon challenge domains: Health & Life, Social & Political Cohesion, Remote Working & Education, Digital Finance, and the open-ended “Other” category. Find a category that resonates for you, and put your creative side to work. Use the hackathon as an opportunity to give back, and team up with like-minded people to harness your inventive ideas into a solution that will make a difference in our communities.
Joining forces is the only way we can rise to the challenges the world is facing right now. Whatever your skills and interests are, I hope you can join the #EUvsVirus hackathon.
