COVID-19 Update

To our valued customers,

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding the COVID-19 situation as we know you may wonder how this impacts our business with you. The health and safety of our employees and customers are our highest priority. As a company with operations across North America, we continue to monitor the outbreak and take actions to keep ourselves, our families and our customers safe.

We are committed to your business and your success. Our team will work with you to see that our products are available and delivered to you when you want them and in the safest way possible. To date, we have not experienced any supply chain disruptions due to COVID-19. The majority of raw materials used in our North American operations are sourced in North America. Inventories of the few raw materials that we purchase from China and other countries where COVID-19 has been more prevalent are in good supply and considered safe to use in our products. In addition, should a potential supply disruption occur, USG has detailed risk mitigation plans and has developed multiple sources for most of our raw materials. Like you, we are closely monitoring government regulations, including shutdown or “shelter in place” orders that potentially could affect operations.

Like many of you, we have also made adjustments to how we work right now, including having our customer service and sales teams work remotely to ensure you receive the service you need. We have restricted travel and attendance at large meetings. We are also following the Center for Disease Control’s guidelines and the advice of our company medical expert regarding social distancing, intensified cleaning routines, and directing our employees to stay home when sick.

Although none of us knows how the next few weeks will unfold, we can manage through it by focusing on safely making the highest-quality products in our industry and being a good partner to our customers.
