Covid-19 showed us just how false and artificial our beliefs were about what makes our societies functions and what makes us happy.

Covid-19 showed us just how false and artificial our beliefs were about what makes our societies functions and what makes us happy.

Even though the grave threat of the coronavirus will pass, this crisis will leave a massive impact on how we live, how we work, how we learn, how and what we consume, how we socialize and how we communicate. What makes our economies thrive will need to be recalibrated. Entire industry sectors will need to rethink how they deliver value and how they earn money. New competitors will surface. The hospitality sector will need to redefine its customer base. The internet will need to rethink its capabilities. The schools and universities will need to re-invent learning delivery. Governments must go digital all the way. Healthcare delivery will need a complete overhaul. All mode of transportation will need to rethink their business models. Those that made them successful to date will not work in the future. Entertainment, sport events, will need to be creative how they keep their audiences interested - and safe.

The coronavirus will not disappear overnight and it will not be the last virus to disrupt our economies and our lives. This crisis will perpetually change our lives, forever and for every generation.

I share your thoughts. It is an opportunity to calibrate our level of responsability in all those businesses.
