COVID-19 & Real Estate in Yucatan, Mexico

Wow! That word about sums things up for us since this entire pandemic hit North America. What COVID-19 has proven for us is that it has now given people the time to do the things they have always procrastinated about, the things they always put off for a rainy day! Fortunately for us, that is Mexico beach front real estate and we have never been busier with 5 sight unseen sales in the last 30 days. Buyers from Dubai, Mexico, Canada and USA!

How did we do this? By being original, being different and telling our story about us and our brand. Going all in on social media and our online presence telling our story to the entire world. What followed is people wanting to invest in our brand, in our name and the quality developments we build. As well move & retire to a beach property in Mexico.

It is no surprise as pre-pandemic Yucatan (Merida and area) was Mexico's hottest real estate market for several key factors. That trend has only continued now and for the foreseeable future. The amount of emails, messages, phone calls, dm's, pm's, texts has increased for us 500%. Life will return to normal, people will travel again and economies will bounce back in time. The amount of people wanting to invest in Mexico and/or retire in paradise has tremendously increased in the first & second quarters of 2020. We have had numerous inquiries from families asking about schools, couples, retirees wanting to move here, as well many inquires if we are hiring! This has made people realize what is important in life and that life is worth living to the fullest. Escaping cold Canadian/American winters and retiring to a beautiful property on the beach is a dream for so many people, these amigos are now acting on their dreams! Simple life = Happy life in Mexico.

Look at your retirement picture, your bank account etc and how many years you have remaining to work to reach your goals and retire. People are realizing that by moving to Mexico and retiring they can achieve this goal 10-15 years sooner vs staying in Canada or U.S.A! When you look at our low cost of living, low cost of Real Estate and low property taxes etc it makes you think why haven't I done this sooner. It is not for everyone and that is fine, I am just sharing information that I know and have experienced myself personally. I sold it all & moved from small town Saskatchewan, Canada to Yucatan, Mexico with nothing more than two suitcases ands created a life here, you can to!
