An unprecedented challenge called COVID 19 has gripped the entire world. Since the 11th of March 2020, the WHO has declared it a pandemic. It has become the talk of the town. But life isn’t the same as it used to be. The initial impact was so high on the minds of the people that raised questions about everyone’s existence. Somewhat say it is very hard to even think about what was the so-called normal life before and now a tangled Adaptation has become a rule of life!
It has become a mystery with no trail. It has provided an opportunity to understand climate change in a much better way.
Under the measure to stop this virus from spreading; shut local businesses, schools have been closed down, the hustle on the shop floor of factories across the globe came to a standstill, some business who could offer work from home option, social movement and transport came to a halt. Amidst all this, fossil fuel burning and consumption reduced across the globe which giving people a chance to inhale clean air at least for the few weeks.
It was a challenge to form a global chain to prevent its spread across borders but air travel, unfortunately, made route easy. But the interesting thing to see was social cohesion in society by maintaining a social distancing and also knowledge sharing across the globe. In such a challenging situation because of a divergence in the adequacy of support, it was difficult to curb the virus outspread and consequences were horrible in some countries which resulted in a massive number of unfortunate deaths.
Social distancing may benefit to reduce communicable disease cases by prevalence. We have been struggling for the past few decades to diminish the number of communicable diseases and we have spent immense amounts of money on the research and the development of vaccine plus treatment.
Overall, even though it is hard to expect beyond the horizon, still there is a hope to see some promising future changes which may affect everyone’s life in the long run.
Till now social distancing will help to paddle through the waves!.....
