Covid-19: New testing methods are required to speed up testing and reduce costs

How reliable are our tests?

With COVID-19 spreading, we will not really know if we are infected until we have already infected others. Stay at home - stay safe.

Staying at home will buy us some time, and with a few more weeks, we could get our testing more efficient, and start testing everyone. There will also be enough time to set up a tracing operation where they can trace all the people that an infected person met, and isolate them. Identify where the virus is and you can target these spots, without imposing horizontal social distancing measures.

Through early detection and contact tracing around the cases that were known, we will be able to contain the spread of the outbreak. By speeding up testing we can find out the true extend of the problem and be able to take measures that will drive costs down substantially.

We can lock down for a few weeks to buy us time. Don’t give up without a fight.
