Covid-19 and Mindset

We’ve been experiencing a fair few shocks in the last few weeks. And the amount is probably even more than we have in the last 10 years! 

It’s definitely a challenging climate. And it doesn’t help that there’s a feeling of doom and gloom all over.

We’ve all felt like we’re swimming against the tide. That no matter where we look, there’s bad news right around the corner. 

This pandemic affects everyone - even businesses.

Let’s face it. This doesn’t just apply to clinics. It appeals to many successful businesses all over the world. Whether it’s cafes, retail outlets, gyms… everyone is taking a hit!

But do you know what’s going to help your business survive the pandemic?

Your mindset.

Now, it’s important to have a positive mindset. After all, it’s key to dealing with any form of adversity. But, you should also think about how you and your business can adapt to the current situation. 

With that, you need to develop an experimental mindset. 

In this climate, your usual clinic practices may not work. So, you need to veer away from them. Instead, make use of your current resources to keep up with and meet what the situation demands. 

For example, if your clinic has a holistic approach, this approach may need to take a massive backseat. Instead, your clinic may have to focus on a specialization with the highest demand right now. Perhaps those minor cases that hospitals cannot attend to?

When we are working from a resourceful state, we can choose a strategy that is likely to be successful. And we can deploy tactics that are appropriate, which is so important in this climate. 

But keep in mind that an experimental mindset means taking a trial-and-error approach. And you’ll likely keep doing it until you discover what works best.

Once you discover the right formula, you’re taking a step forward for your business. You’re no longer staying in your comfort zone. And this brings your business closer to surviving this pandemic.
