COVID-19 measures implemented by Aage Hempel
We are witnessing that Covid-19 is leaving its footprint across the world. The maritime industry is also subsequently affected especially if the situation continues for a number of months.
Being among the leading marine electronics intergrators for the industry, we would like to communicate to our customers that the risk of our operations is low. We are taking measures to reduce any impact on the provision and delivery of the services.
As an organization we have a disaster recovery plan in place for an extensive period of time. The plan is regularly reviewd to ensure the business is able to continue operations taking into account the latest advise of the WHO and local governments for each of our offices.
Please be assured that we are paying close attention to this situation on a continuous basis. Should guidelines change then we review and respond appropriately with updated measures and precautions as a priority.
In light of recent circumstances and the potential impact to ways of working, we have put in place a number of measures to support our staff and customers.
These include:
- Limited travel for staff to affected regions including visits to vessels
- Setting up and enabling office based staff to work from home
- Continuity in the delivery of services
For our physical services
Aage Hempel has 3 main warehouses in Spain and Netherlands and 28 secondary warehouses in our service stations around the world. It is very unlikely that all 3 main warehouses will be affected at the same time and we are able to dispatch products to customers from at least one location.
For our digital services
The customer service support is available 24/7 to arrange services and provide remote support with the assistance of our technical evaluators.
AH operates on a partnership basis with our customers. Should there be any specific concerns please get in touch with your key contacts to discuss these.
