COVID-19: Governments are dammed if they do and doomed if they don’t
Analysing and watching COVID-19 unfold has been an interesting exercise.
So far alleged cures, nothing for certain. And how long will it take to crank up production for inoculation and or cure?
Obviously the STATS cannot keep up but at the time of writing this, this is the raw data I have (some had been analysed): https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries
Coronavirus Cases:
335,403
Deaths:
14,611
Recovered:
97,636
Active Cases
223,156
Currently Infected Patients
212,516 (95%)
in Mild Condition
10,640 (5%)
Serious or Critical
Closed Cases
112,247
Cases which had an outcome:
97,636 (87%)
Recovered / Discharged
14,611 (13%)
Deaths
Say the Infection Rate being intensively managed is 0.1% of the average population of a country; well that is not particularly high. But in suppressing that, an intense amount of time energy effort resources, in fact almost all the energy of a country’s resources are going into keeping the lid on this little beast.
And in China and Korea’s case, the moment they lift the lid out she goes again!
Of the reported cases, some 335,000 according to this source, 7.5% seem like they will end up as a statistic. A dead statistic. 66.5% are still infected which is quite high and some 4.0% are in the ‘not dead yet’ category.
Around 30.0% have currently recovered.
So in my opinion Governments are Dammed if they Do and Doomed if they Don’t when it comes to fighting this virus.
We wait for a cure or a vaccine.
