Triggered by the COVID -19, the human society is testing it's own resilience and adaptative capacity to tackle this and future crises. This crisis is demanding more proactive than reactive measures. After experiencing complexity of dependencies from existing global production and distribution systems, the rural dwellers should have started critically rethinking about migrating towards cities for safer and healthier living. The COVID19 crisis has proved that the human society was so far behaving selfish towards increasing luxurious comfort in the urban sprawls. Now it is high time to redefine the norms and values of human society. It is possible to develop less dependent national and sub-national economic systems towards enhancing country-wise adaptive capacity for protection of human rights and health.
