COVID-19 and Descartes
I drew with my kids since quite some days standard line charts with excel (using the official data of COVID-19 pandemics) of COVID-19 cases in our Canton, luckily not a lot. It was for our kids, at home from school, an occasion to discover that mathematics is not only a terrible useless topic we are forced to study but that can be used to effectively picture and measure things that matter to us.
Since March 3rd, this is the first time the curve suggest we might be at the peak of the pandemics here, probably as a result of the actions against Coronavirus infection from the Swiss Confederation (closure of schools, industry and shops). It deserves today a more fancy (radar) graphics. Stay home, stay safe.
