The COVID-19 / Coronavirus VUCA

The COVID-19 / Coronavirus VUCA

COVID-19 / Coronavirus is truly frightening and casts a VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) over us.

But if we see the COVID-19 / Coronavirus as a big sheet of transparency we can stare that wolf fear down.

I'm truly excited about the status quo being removed from our lives. The status quo being removed from our lives, provides us with a new lens of clarity, by giving us a mirror to reflect on the status quo, which and provides us with the ability to strip back the layers. When we strip back the layers we can find what is our highest priorities

We are seeing that part of our highest priorities is about supporting each other and that we crave social interaction.

Work is no longer just a place to come and produce stuff. We are finding part of that social interaction is providing us with a lack of fear or no longer noticing fear. This as we have stripped some of our self-motivating drivers and sharing more parts of us than ever before. This sharing / more social interaction is creating more empathy in our teams, which will transfer to happier people who still feel empowered. Long term this will result in amazing creativity and greater productivity.

The alternative to staring down the fear wolf of COVID-19 / Coronavirus is to embrace the status quo where nothing changes if nothing changes!
