COVID 19 and Cars of Hope
Romas Povilonis
Founder and Executive Director of Cars of Hope. Cars of Hope provides cars for families who have fallen on hard times.
While more and more families endure financial hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic, major expenses like extensive car repairs become unaffordable, especially for those with small children.
You can help these families get back on their feet. Donate to Cars of Hope today, and we’ll connect them to safe, reliable transportation. Just like with the last major recession, we anticipate being able to fill a lot of needs in the community.
Here’s how it works: Cars of Hope gets a donated vehicle and invests up to $4,000 in nonprofit maintenance repairs through our partner repair shops to keep the vehicle running for at least two years without major repairs. Occasionally, to supplement the program, Cars of Hope will purchase vehicles on the wholesale market and perform the needed repairs.
None of this is possible without support from people in the community, like you. Help us reach our current fundraising goal of $26,000. A donation today means hope for a family in need tomorrow. Visit our website carsofhope.org to make a tax-deductible contribution or to let us know you have a vehicle that Cars of Hope can use. Tax receipts are provided.
